After much time spent in the home, Ancient Greek Sandals co-founders Christina & Nikolas are excited to share our debut collection of homewares with AGS Home. An eclectic array of homewares in the signature Ancient Greek Sandals vachetta leather!

Both practical and beautiful, our home collection is inspired by our beautiful Greek islands. Reminiscent of warmer summer days stumbling through back streets in Naxos or Paros, discovering unique objects you want to sweep up and pack in your luggage back home. Traditional Greek homewares such as wine bottles, ouzo carafes and breadbaskets made from our signature leather, that are sure to inspire your #tablescape Instagram posts.

Sitting atop of your dinner table or as a decorative vase in the dining table, a versatile bottle collection in a variety of sizes with clear glass bottles encased in brass studded leather and cork stoppers, a treasured piece for many years to come. Partnered with a 1 litre carafe, capped with leather, and encased in gold studded leather, that oh so slightly mimic the way our classic sandals are constructed, or for something cuter Carafaki, which literally means ‘small carafe’ mostly used in Tavernas when serving ouzo or tsipouro.

We love anything that is multi-use! The Bottiglia, is an elegant 5l elongated bottle dressed in leather with oval cut outs on either side, which is intended to decorate your mantel piece, which look perfect with bright fresh florals or dried stems. Or opt for our Vase, a unique leather shielded vase featuring thing straps of leather joined together with gold studs forming a minimal leather casing with square openings.

It's not just tables in the home that need decorating, what about if you’re headed out on a picnic? Why not pack your favourite Greek wine in our wine bottle in our Wine Holder. Encasing your favourite vin, a thin strap leather handle is fixed on the throat of the bottle to keep your wine safely in place. Or stay refreshed on a long hike along the coastline, with the Pagouri, the chicest water bottle carrier made from borosilicate glass bottle with thermal insulation and a bamboo safe lid – will keep you hydrated on the go!

Have we mentioned the most impressive of the collection? A firm favourite, 10 litre vessels inspired by olive oil and wine bottles, which have been used to store liquids for centuries. Typically, a glass bottle would be encased in a woven basket to protect the precious contents from sunlight, but enter the AGS update…vachetta leather in place of wicker to elevate the humble demijohn and given its size and scale, can be used as a leather basket when the vessel is removed. Also available in a gorgeous 5 litre version too!

And what better way to decorate your home with our array of multi-purpose woven leather baskets, perfect in any room of the house, with baskets inspired by wicker styles found in almost every Greek taverna. Traditionally used to carry napkins, cutlery, or bread to the table, they make a versatile addition to any kitchen…or even within the bathroom to hold towels or soaps.
