Introduction
These terms and conditions relate to goods which you offer to purchase from the Ancient Greek Sandals online store (“our/this website”). Please read these terms and conditions, which govern your use of this website and our supply to you of any goods which you offer to purchase through our on-line facilities. We will be unable to process any offer to purchase goods until you have done so. By making an offer to purchase, you agree to be bound by the whole provisions of the Agreement (as defined in clause 3.1 below) between you and us. If you do not accept these provisions you should not place an order.
Your Agreement With Us
These terms and conditions, together with the Order Form, Confirmation Form, Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us relating to the provision of the Goods (“the Agreement”), and supersede any previous agreements, arrangements, undertakings or proposals, written or oral, between us in relation to this, and all past courses of dealing or industry custom. No oral explanation or oral information given by any party (including any information given via our customer service departments) shall alter the interpretation of these terms and conditions. In agreeing to these terms and conditions, you have not relied on any representation other than those expressly stated in these terms and conditions, and you agree that you shall have no remedy in respect of any misrepresentation which has not been made expressly in these terms and conditions.
Nothing on our website is intended or shall be interpreted to mean that we are making a legal offer to you to provide the Goods; we are inviting you to make a legal offer to us to purchase the Goods. It is entirely at our discretion to accept or reject the offer to purchase. The Agreement is concluded only when we have accepted your order by sending you a Confirmation Form (with the date of conclusion of the Agreement being the date shown on that Confirmation Form).
General
Payment can be made using any of the methods listed on our website and will be debited when we have accepted your offer to purchase.
Prices are quoted in your local currency
Our acceptance of your offer to purchase Goods is subject to their availability. Our acknowledgement of order acceptance via web or e-mail is not a guarantee of delivery. We will inform you if we are unable to deliver the Goods which you have offered to purchase, and a full refund will be given.
Every effort has been made to ensure the descriptions and price of goods are correct. We will inform you as soon as possible in the event of an error in pricing or description coming to our attention. Where we notify you of such an error, you will have the option of either (i) confirming your offer to purchase subject to the corrected description or price, or (ii) retracting your offer to purchase and receiving a full refund if the Goods have been paid for.
Payment Methods
Payment is made through our international sales facilitation and order processing partner, Global-E. Global-e is Level 1 PCI-DSS certified and will take your payment securely through their payment service providers based on the payment method you have selected. The payment methods applicable to your order will be displayed during the ordering process. The product delivery note will be inserted in the package.
For orders placed from Greece, we accept Visa, MasterCard and Maestro cards. You can also choose to pay with PayPal.By selecting this option at checkout, you will be directed to the PayPal site to 'Log In' and review your order before proceeding with the payment. Once this transaction is complete, you will then return to ancient-greek-sandals.com.
Credit card payments handling is secured by EveryPay, a licensed Payment Institution by the Bank of Greece (Decision No. 280/3 / 23-7-2018 GG B 3010 / 25-7-2018),that manages securely card payment transactions, in accordance with the regulatory framework of the card transaction security management standard. Everypay is certified in accordance with the PCI DSS compliance standards. All Everypay services are made through secure connections with 256bit SSL certificates. EveryPay also supports the ability to use the 3D Secure service, an additional security token for VISA & MasterCard. The Payer then has to enter his personal secret code to complete the transaction successfully.
Shipping and Delivery Details
All deliveries are subject to stock availability and authorization of your payment.
We shall endeavor to ship the Goods you have ordered within 1 working day after we receive your payment, as long as the goods selected are marked as “in stock”. Delivery time following shipment depends on country of destination. The average delivery time following shipment is 2-3 working days. If there are any delays, we will notify you of such delay as soon as possible. If the goods purchased are marked as “made to order” and are “pre-ordered”, we endeavor to ship the goods you have ordered within 45 days from the receipt of your payment.
We can either deliver your order to the billing address of the card used for payment, or you can specify an alternative address at the checkout as long as it located in the same country.
If there are any delays, we will notify you of such delay as soon as possible.

Make To Order Service
Ancient Greek Sandals offer the opportunity to make any style you wish from our website in your size and in any color of your preference as long as the raw material is available in our production.
For every Made To Order service the following terms & conditions apply:
Once the order is placed, there will be no return options available
It will take 30-45 days for the customised pair to be produced & shipped from our warehouse to your delivery location address
With every made to order pair there is a service fee per pair ordered. This cost is:
- £9.00 per pair for orders to the EU
- £10 per pair for orders to the United Kingdom
- $10 per pair for orders to the United States
- £9.00 per pair for orders to countries outside the EU
After placing your order, you will receive a confirmation email including a summary of the product, the price, the estimated shipping date, the cost of Make to Order service & shipping charges as well as the selected payment method.
The customer acknowledges and agrees that if they purchase a Make To Order product, the relevant price shown on the order confirmation shall be charged in advance to the customer, at the moment of the receipt of the confirmation email, although the sandals are not ready to be shipped at that moment.
Fabric colours and materials may vary. Ancient Greek Sandals cannot accept responsibility for any variations in colour, shade and texture and will not accept returns on this basis.
If you wish to change or cancel your customized order, please contact our customer care team at customercare@ancientgreeksandals.com up to 4 hours since you placed your order to assist you.
Please be advised that we cannot change or cancel your order after your parcel has been shipped.
Promotion Codes
Are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. Furthermore, they cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion code or offers.
Ancient Greek Sandals reserves the right to cancel or block the promotion code, if deemed necessary, for example, in case of misuse of the promotion code. You will be informed immediately by ancientgreeksandals.com in the case of blocking or cancelling the promotion code.
The promotional code for first purchases “AGS-NEWS10” is only eligible for full price items during any other promotional offers such as free shipping.
Free Shipping
During free shipping promotion, the delivery cost will be removed automatically on the final payment page. Extra charges for all shipments outside the European Union, additional tax, customs and import duties will be levied by the customer.
You may be offered to pre-pay Import Charges on checkout. Not all Products and not all destinations support pre-pay of Import Charges, and we cannot guarantee that your Order will be eligible for such pre-payment. In the event import charges were not paid when you placed your order, either because you so elected or because pre-payment is not available in your delivery destination you will be fully responsible for paying all applicable import charges directly to the relevant authority as determined.
Returns Policy
We hope you’re happy with your new “Ancient Greek Sandals” purchase!
If for any reason you are not fully satisfied, you can return your sandals purchased your sandals from our official website https://www.ancient-greek-sandals.com within 30 days of receipt.
Please take into consideration that if your sandals were purchased at a different retail location, please refer to their return/refund policy.
If you would like to initiate a return, you may request to return the products by filling out the online return form.
If you wish to return one or more products the following instructions apply:
1. You must first inform of your decision to return the product by filling out the online return form. Follow the instructions and provide the requested information (your order identification number and the email address used for the order), indicating the applicable items to be returned and the corresponding quantity.
2. A Return Product Authorization (RMA) number will be provided to you and a return shipment label will be generated. Your return label and return note will also be sent to your email address.
3. Promptly thereafter you will send back the returned items or hand those over as per the instructions provided to you in the return note. You must act without undue delay and in any event not later than 30 days from the day on which you initiate the return procedure. The RMA number must be included in the return package.
Returned items must comply with our returns policy:
- Items must be returned unworn, undamaged and unused, with all tags attached and the original packaging included.
- Footwear(sandals) and accessories(bags) must be returned with the original branded boxes and dust bags, where provided, and placed inside a protective outer box for shipping.
- When trying on footwear, please take care not to mark the soles or damage the shoe box. We highly recommend when trying on the sandals to stand on a carpeted area in order to protect the soles with unpleasant markings.
- Please take care when trying on your purchases and return them in the same condition you received them. Any returns that do not meet our policy will not be accepted.
Products marked as “sale”, “made to order” or are pre-ordered we do not accept exchange or offer a refund.
We do not currently offer an exchange service. If you would like to exchange an item, we suggest you return your purchase for a refund and place a new order for the preferred item.
You will be refunded for the original item in accordance with our returns policy.
In the event you wish to exchange an item under pre-order conditions, additional charges of £10.00 will apply.
In order to ensure a timely and secure return, we suggest using our own shipping service DHL.
The cost for using our DHL label to return your sandals to our facilities is
- £7.00 for countries in the EU
- £13.00 for countries outside the EU
- £10 for the United Kingdom
- $10 for the United States
- AU$ 19 for Australia
- CAN$ 16 for Canada
We suggest that items are returned to us via our own service in order for the items to be guaranteed. You can return using any secure means, but we may not accept liability.
In case you decide to use your own courier service, the return shipping charges and any additional charges that may occur are a burden of the customer.
In case the item received is defective, or if we’ve made a mistake with your order, we will be able to offer a full refund for your sandals or an exchange and reimburse your postage costs if applicable.
To ensure your return does not encounter a delay, we suggest that items are returned to Ancient Greek Sandals from the same country to which they were delivered. Orders sent back from a different destination than the original shipping address may incur additional charges or be delayed by customs.
Distance Selling Regulations
Under the Distance Selling Regulations, you have fourteen working days from the Commencement Date (“the cooling-off period”) in which to cancel this Agreement if for any reason you are not happy with the Goods which have been delivered to you.
This cooling off period begins on the day after the day you receive the Goods from us. If you wish to cancel the Agreement under the Distance Selling Regulations, you must notify us of this fact in writing and send your notification to us by e-mail or post within the cooling-off period.
Full contact details are set out below. On cancellation, you must return the goods that we have delivered to you. On our receipt of the returned goods, we will exchange the goods, or we will refund to you the price you paid for the Goods. Unless you originally received substitute goods, you will be liable for the costs of returning the Goods to us, and we will not reimburse you for this. Goods must be adequately sealed in the original packaging.
Fully complete the returns form included with the delivery package, this will ensure that you receive your refund or replacement goods promptly; please make sure that you have addressed the package clearly with our address.
Make sure that you get a certificate of posting from the Post Office as proof that you have sent the package.

Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to exclude any provision of the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977, or of the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999, or of any other legislation designed to ensure that the rights of parties to a contract of the type of this Agreement (i.e. standard terms and conditions which are not individually negotiated) are fairly balanced. Subject to the aforesaid, we shall not be liable to you for any loss or damage unless such loss or damage arises as a direct result of our negligence, recklessness or willful misconduct, or fraud or misrepresentation on our part.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all liability for our employees’ or sub-contractors’ negligence. We may include links from time to time from our website to other internet sites. We have no control over the content of such sites and disclaim any liability in respect of your use of such sites. All conditions, terms, representations and warranties relating to the Goods which are not expressly stated in this Agreement are hereby excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Our total liability to you in respect of any claim by you arising out of or in connection with the provision (or the failure to provide) the Goods shall be limited to the value of the goods supplied. No claim by you against us shall be valid unless you have notified us of the details of the claim within one year of it arising. Every provision of this clause excluding or limiting liability shall be construed separately, applying and surviving even if for any reason any of these provisions is held inapplicable or unenforceable in any circumstances, and shall remain in force notwithstanding the expiry or termination of this Agreement.
Indemnity
IMPORTANT: IN THIS CLAUSE YOU AGREE THAT YOU WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS WE (OR CERTAIN PEOPLE CONNECTED WITH US) SUFFER AS A RESULT OF BREACH OF THE AGREEMENT BY YOU OR BY CERTAIN PEOPLE CONNECTED WITH YOU. PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY AND DO NOT MAKE AN OFFER TO PURCHASE THE GOODS UNLESS YOU AGREE TO THIS CLAUSE.
You agree that you shall be liable for, and hereby agree to indemnify us on demand in respect of any and all demands, liabilities, losses, costs and claims (including reasonable legal fees) sustained or incurred by us, our agents, suppliers, resellers, our customers, officers or employees, and arising as a result of breach by you of this Agreement.

Law and Jurisdiction
The Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Greek law and you agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Greek courts. You are responsible for compliance with any applicable laws of the country from which you access our website.
