Shop Christina Martini's New Season Wishlist

Founder and Creative Director of Ancient Greek Sandals, Christina Martini highlights her favourite styles for the season ahead.

"Spring is the perfect season to visit Athens, not too hot but warm enough to stroll around the city all day and night. My personal favourite midseason and "very much on-trend" style is our Aerati ballerina. I usually wear it with either a pair of jeans or a maxi jeans skirt. The insole is padded, and the sole is made out of rubber, so they are super comfortable and flexible, perfect for the slippery marble streets at the old centre. Another comfortable style, our Latria Footbed in raffia is also ideal for walking around town, visiting museums and Greek designers' shops. As for Ophion in gold and the low gladiator Asteras in shiny leather, these are my go to options for the evening. Athens is a big, near-the-coast city, hence on weekends, the Athenians visit the southern suburbs for lunch or coffee. In this instance, I would wear our classic leather styles for a relaxed weekend look."
